About the Event:

UWYV’s Annual Fall Kickoff is an educational event for aspirational young leaders from across North Central Mass. This day of learning, networking, and inspiration provides an opportunity for students from participating schools to learn how they can make a difference in the community. Students will take a field trip to MWCC for the day where they will get to experience being “a college student” for a day and learn more about being a leader in their community in the process.

Students are invited to this empowering event if they are already a member of a Youth Venture team or are interested in joining. This event is exclusive to current and future Venturers- aka student leaders who are taking action to positively impact their community.

Fall Kickoff provides a unique opportunity for students to engage in learning sessions specifically designed to help them and their Venture team’s development. Learning sessions have been carefully designed to suit each Venture Team in their specific missions- allowing them an opportunity to learn more about how to make a meaningful impact in their chosen cause/community, network with other like-minded youth, and seek inspiration and knowledge from workshop facilitators.

How to Register:

Students will bring home permission slips provided by their school Champions for parent/guardian approval of their attendance.
Students will select their workshops with their team while meeting for their regular Youth Venture programming with UWYV outreach staff and/or their school Champion.
If you are not sure if you are registered, or would like to go and have not received a permission slip, please contact your school’s Champion.
