Kid Connections, Overlook Middle School
Launched: Monday, March 19th, 2018
Kid Connections is the first Venture Team to launch out of Overlook Middle School! Their mission is to create resource baskets for canine graduates of the NEADS (National Education for Assistance Dog Services) training program. The baskets, filled with NEADS-approved toys, collars, and otherwise useful resources, are intended to help both dog and placement family acclimate to their new lives together.
March for Our Lives, Sky View Middle School
Launched: Wednesday, March 21st, 2018
Inspired by the survivors of the school shooting in Parkland, FL, this group of Sky View Middle School students aimed to gather a delegation of students, parents, and school faculty to attend and participate in the March for Our Lives in Boston, MA. They intended to raise enough funds to secure bus transportation to the march.
