Northwest Animal Activists10 kids and 6 adults stand behind a giant check
The Northwest Animal Activists gave thoughtful consideration when they decided that they wanted to partner with the Gardner Animal Shelter. One of their determining factors was that this shelter will take in both cats and dogs. Sara, an employee of the shelter came to speak to this team about the shelter and how it operates. This extremely smart group of 4th and 5th graders asked her intelligent questions and learned about the shelter and what supplies are needed most. With the funds raised, this team is buying the supplies and making their donation personally.

Make A Difference
The Northwest Bulldogs used their social entrepreneurial skills to start their Venture Team called, "Make A Difference". This Venture Team's mission is to help children who are in the hospital. They host a school-wide effort to collect materials to make 150 "Bulldog Care Bags" for pediatric children in the hospital.

Helping Hands - Northwest Elementary School
Northwest Elementary School’s Venture Team, Helping Hands, focused on raising money and donations for Ginny’s Helping Hand, a nonprofit organization in Leominster dedicated to helping the needy in the community. Helping Hands raised money by holding a “Hat Day” at Northwest. They also had a donation drive of food and clothing and collected many bags and boxes of goods to donate to Ginny’s Helping Hand.
