In 2018, Ethan Chandler, the founder of Karate for Kids, awarded $600 to Me’Yah Newton for her awesome dedication to martial arts, and through events like golf tournaments and 5Ks, has been able to award another scholarship this year!

Karate for Kids was founded in February 2017, as a way to help at risk kids in the community through martial arts. Ethan Chandler, the founder of this Venture Team, became interested in martial arts after discovering a passion for karate movies. Now, he runs an organization at a local martial arts facility to help kids ages 6-12 learn self control and discover a passion. Through these scholarships, Karate for Kids is able to support children by providing the funds needed to pay for karate classes. Soon, Chandler hopes to become an independent non-profit, and wants to continue to award many scholarships for the years to come.

You rock Karate for Kids!
